Hit rate

Every story the desk flags at medium confidence or above is graded once its four-hour window closes: it counts as a hit only if an independent second source confirmed it inside that window. A story nobody corroborated counts against us, not for us, and a story flagged too recently to grade is held as pending rather than scored either way. This measures corroboration, not price action, and we publish it even when it is not flattering.
